Abstract
INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of meditation and walking exercise in a forest on blood pressure, heart rate, NK-cell and Profile of Mood states (POMS).

METHOD: Fourteen subject were particpated in this study(meditation group, n=7, age=21.86¡¾1.86; walking exercise group, n=7, age=22.43¡¾2.57), forest activity program carried out fifty time for four-day/three-night trips. Data were analyzed with Wilcoxon signed-rank test and two-way ANOVA with repeated measure using SPSS 14.0 program.

RESULT: The study resulted in as follows. In both group, there was no significant difference in heart rate, systolic blood pressure after program. However, in meditation group, there are statistically significant difference in diastolic blood pressure, NK-cell after program. Also, Although POMS was no significant difference, it showed that there was positive change in the every subscale mood factor after program.

CONCLUSION: Therefore, this study suggest that short-term meditation and walking exercise in a forest may lead to positive change on physiology and psychology variable. However, there was no significant difference between group in every measurement variable.
